ICS Preview for 300 HTC Users

As we have already mentioned in one of our posts the first HTC smartphone which will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS will be from HTC Sensation Lineup.
Unfortunately, the date of the launch is still unknown and we do not want to make the HTC fans happy with empty promises since for about 300 Sensation and Sensation XE owners wait for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update to come.

Those users have not rooted their smartphones and installed a custom ROM as everything is official. The company calls it an “Early Access Preview” and those 300 users gave them a chance to test Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense 4.0.

HTC said:

“HTC is doing something new and pretty cool in the coming days: we’ll be releasing an “early access preview” of our ICS upgrade for the Sensation and Sensation XE. This will be limited in scope (just a few hundred users and only in Europe) because we’re still scaling up back-end resources for general availability worldwide, and our hope is people will play with it and enjoy getting used to the ICS experience with Sense. We’ll be doing similar previews for other devices in the future, too.”

The users should wait for the update since it is already on the way.
