We have talked about Sprint’s version of the HTC One X which came under different names; such as the HTC Jewel, the HTC Jet and the HTC Evo HD LTE. But there was no info about the exact name of the smartphone. Sprint and HTC announced a joint event that was on April 4. And now Sprint has officially announced the HTC Evo 4G LTE.
This smartphone is the same HTC One X with a changed design, which reminds of the HTC One S. The smartphone features a kickstand and other awesome features.
Coming with a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 touchscreen with 720×1280 pixels resolution, which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass technology, the HTC Evo 4G LTE is based on a a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. The smartphone has an 8 MP lens with ImageSense providing super-fast start-up and focus times.
The HTC Evo 4G LTE runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 and supports Beats Audio. By the way, the Beats Audio system is available on all the ICS running smartphones.
The HTC Evo 4G LTE is the first smartphone from Sprint that features HD voice. The carrier mentioned that while talking the users will hear a needle drop on the other end of the line. The pre-orders of the HTC One 4G LTE start on May 7 and will get launched in Q2. The price of the smartphone is $199.99 on contract.
