From the moment the infringements were recognized to be groundless the Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G LTE and AT&T’s HTC One X started to make steps into the US market. This somehow prevented Sprint from shipping the pre-ordered smartphone in time.
The famous carrier could not announce any official date for giving the smartphones to their owners; while Best Buy told its users who had pre-ordered the HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphones will be able to get them on May 24. As for now, a few consumers have already got their devices.
Sprint’s HTC One X features Simultaneous Voice and Data. Those who do not know what is it – this technology enables CDMA2000 users to surf in the web, send emails, view photos, watch videos, play different games and use data intensive GPS navigation while calling.
If you remember, previously, those users who were answering a call while using the data connection it was suspended. Now everything is better, the novelty is being used actively and many dual-antenna EV-DO devices will support SVDO. By the way, not only high-end smartphone have this features, the low-end ones have it too; among them are LG Optimus Elite and LG Viper 4G LTE.
As for the Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G LTE it has started shipping and sports SVDO feature too.
