HTC ThunderBolt and HTC Desire S to Get Android 4.0 by the End of this Month

The owners of the HTC Phones who are waiting for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update questioned OEM about the Android timeline for the remaining HTC phones that are scheduled to be updated.

According to the Taiwanese company the HTC Thunderbolt and the HTC Desire S will get the updates before the end of this month. The HTC Thunderbolt is one of those models that is in the cusp. I think this news will make the owners of the smartphone really feel happy. Recently, the Taiwanese company explained why the models like the HTC Desire HD will not join the Ice Cream Sandwich Club in spite of the fact it is closely related to the HTC Thunderbolt.

As you know HTC is going to finish with all of the Android 4.0 updates by the end of this month. But this does not mean the updates will be sent precisely on the last day of August. There is also the matter of getting the carriers to sign off on the update for each specific model; this has taken as long as months to get done.

Back in May HTC mentioned it would have all of its eligible phones running Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of August. But it seems now HTC will miss its prediction.
